THE MUSICAL INSPIRATION - José Promis

Berlin Cake takes its inspiration from the music of the talented musician and prolific songwriter José Promis. José has had his own interesting journey which started at birth in Chile then moving on to Tucson, Arizona. José continued his education studying at the University of Arizona where he first encountered the musical genre that is Berlin “Marlene Dietrich” cabaret. He then moved onwards to play in the piano lounges of Los Angeles though it wasn’t long until his love of Berlin cabaret music took him to Berlin where he has developed his own unique songwriting style so evocative of old style “Sally Bowles” Berlin albeit with modern lyrics. A wonderful musician with an awesome talent.
